THE BENEFITS OF USING SERUM
Hair serums are great for conditioning, smoothing, detangling, sealing and adding that extra needed shine to the hair. Now there are a number of Naturals who rant and rave about using “Silicone Free” Hair Products, Serums Included. The reality of it all is simple, the primary ingredient that has made Hair Serums great is Silicone. Silicone does not cause harm to the hair or the user, and does not promote or cause damage to natural or chemically treated hair.

The honest truth is those who have bad mouthed hair serums with silicones in them, have overused serum products, and have not educated themselves on how to properly apply serum products to the hair. HOW TO PROPERLY USE HAIR SERUM
Using hair serum properly is key to obtaining the best results, so before I close out this post I would like to leave you all with a few simple steps and tips that can be applied to your routine when using hair serum.
Note: Never treat different Product Brands the same, no two hair products are the same no matter what they say. Just like no two people will have the same signature, well no two chemist will have the same exact mixtures. Keep that in mind anytime you are trying a new product.
- You may apply hair serum when you need to protect your hair from blow drying, flat ironing, curling iron ets. Protecting your hair from high levels of heat will prevent burning, damage, snapping and breaking.
- The best time to apply serum to hair is when it is damp, your hair absorbs product much better when it’s a little damp.
- Massage product onto hair starting at the tips of the hair working your way up to the roots.
- For detangling and moisturizing place serum on to damp hair, and leave in for 5 to 10 minutes under a conditioning cap.
