LET’S TALK ABOUT THE RAIN WATER HAIR WASHING METHOD AND SOME OF IT’S BENEFITS TO HAIR GROWTH
I was sitting around not too long ago talking to a Friend of Mine about watering some plants that were in Her House. Just in case you guys have not realized by now, I’m always thinking up something. Yes!, I’m a Grown 34 Year Old, Single Mom who still happens to be in touch with Her Higher Thinking or what everyone else would consider the imagination.
The idea or the mode of thinking was, if rainwater is required to help with the growth and the health of our plants, and our hair mimics a lot of the behavior’s of our plants, the question came to mine “Would actual rain water serve as a more heathy alternative when cleaning our hair?”. This sent me onto a nice little investigation and this is what I came up with.
Rain water is considered to be soft water that is neutral in pH, free from disinfection by products, salts, minerals and other unnatural materials. Tap Water, which is considered to be a “Hard Water” in comparison, does not was hair as well because it makes lathering and rinsing more difficult.
Now that we understand the difference between rain water and tap water, let’s discuss when we should use the rain water method and how. Of course, we all want to feel that our hair is properly cleaned anytime we wash and condition our hair. And I agree water does play a major role in how well we are able to clean our hair. I’ve personally experienced great results with the rain water method.
Below I’ve placed an acid rain map, the more acidic the rain in the more unhealthy the rain is for your hair. For my City Girls, I truly believe that acid rain can be a reason for damage and breakage during the spring and the fall. I do notice a major change in my hair and its behavior when it remains verse when its dry weather. Unfortunately, I’m loaded in a region where acid rain is at a pretty high percentage.
During my visit to California, I got the best results when washing my hair with rain water. My hair felt much cleaner, My hair was able to hold moisture much better and My hair was more manageable in general.
